I need your thoughts on how to put my costume together for Halloween.

See, the plan is to go as the ball that the Prince pushes around in the video game "Katamari Damacy".

We're already set on what to stick on said ball when it's constructed. Pretty much everything, of course :)

But I need some logistics help on constructing the ball itself.

I'm thinking of first starting with two circles of... something. Thin PVC, maybe? One would be the neck, and the other would be the bottom part (probably right around my knees).

We'd then get more PVC to attach to said rings, making a sort of framework to stretch cloth on, to have something to stick the stuff to.

We're also figuring on seams on the sides (creating a front half hemisphere and a back half hemisphere), so that it's transportable, and would also allow me to stick my arms out when needed and to remove it fairly easily.

Does this sound like it would work? Any suggestions, especially on what to use for the framework?
