we just got back from pumpkin and apple picking!!! and it was quite possibly the best day ever :) my son climbed trees for the first time and he picked 26 apples. one apple was so extraspecial, so tiny, so adorable, that i want to keep it forever. my question is this: is that even possible? can you do something to a piece of friut so it will keep for a long time, like a life time? i was thinking shellac, but im not so sure. wouldnt the insides rot?? :(  

any help would be ultra rad. it serious is the cutest lil apple and would be sucha wonderful reminder of this day.  i hope you all enjoyed your weekends as much as i did!
