Black Wax for candles
Oct. 19th, 2005 11:23 amHi everyone,
I figured maybe there would be some candlemakers here who could offer some suggestions. Last year I bought 25 pounds of black parrafin wax chunks from someone on ebay. I don't know what I was thinking....I think I thought I would some how use it up making candles for Halloween, but that never happened.
I have a craft show coming up, and I'd like to make some candles for friends for Halloween, and I'd like to use this wax up and make some nifty candles. Making just plain black candles seems rather unexciting. I've been making candles for a little over a year, and I'm pretty good at it, but I have yet to think of something extremely creative for this wax.
Any ideas on either dressing some black pillar candles up to look nice and elegant (rather than gaudy?), or some creative candle technique that would produce a cool effect?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated....
