craftgrrlDoes anybody know where I could find fabric that looks like dragon scales? I've checked a few of the big-name fabric stores online, but can't find what I'm looking for. I'm not picky about color, but purple or red would be best.
If nothing else, I could use sequined fabric, but that's kind of expensive for the amount I'm going to need, and it doesn't hang like I want it to. The best thing would be a knit with scaly texture (like the kind with the texture stamped into the fuzzy side of the fabric.)
It's for a big, Chinese-style dragon for a school play.
