Oct. 22nd, 2005 01:29 pmi have a pea coat, and i would like to resize it (i bought it when i was fatter, and my dad sugested i get it one size bigger for some dumb reason.
i thought i would rips the seams of the lining, take in the seams in the near-front, then sew back up the lining and be fine. BUT i wanted to be sure, so i came to ask you girls for help :)
my body ends at about the red line, and look how much extra material i have flopping around! (i pulled the extra fabric out with my other hand) it looks like i can fit a baby in there!
the armpit-area is also very baggy, although i do not think i will resize that. it seems like a lot of extra work, but if i do resize the coat and it looks horrible, i will definitley resize the arms as well.
any help?
heres a slightly zoomed-in image of the coat, to maybe show you guys the outside seams. the seams of the lining do not match up, theyre basically just multiple panels sewn together.

thank you SO much to anyone who reads this or can offer me any help<33
