i've been a member here forever and i love everything everyone makes!
i finally took a little time to take some photos of a few of the things i've been working on:



my first stencil ever! i'm really proud of how it turned out.
i ruined a few of the arrows when i was heat setting (too hot of an iron?) but i managed to fix them.
also, the white border around the arrows isn't supposed to be there, but i decided it looked nice anyway.
cracking is from washing it.

just replaced the buttons on a boring green cardigan with dinosaur ones. simple.



more buttons. the bow looked a lot nicer before it went through the washing machine. located on the top riht of a tee, it's hard to tell in that picture.



...because who doesn't need a leopard print dinosaur somewhere in their wardrobe?
completely hand stiched on. took FOREVER. plus it doesn't lie completely flat.
i like it nonetheless.


and for friday...

a snitch shirt!
a little messy, because i was so excited, i made it in 30 mintes or so.
not bad for my first multi-layer stencil, though.

just wondering about your opinions on the following matters:
what is your preferred brand of shirt to stencil on?
i used jerzee's tees here because they're under $4 at michael's.
the sizes aren't consistant though. two of the YS i bought were perfect, the other two were too small!
what is your paint-to-medium ratio?
i usually have a quarter sized blob of paint and a squirt of textile medium.
not too methodical, but seems to hold up in the wash well, even for large images.
what works better for heat setting? using an iron or a hair dryer?
i have an old mini dryer i use just for that purpose, since i tend to smudge the paint with an iron?
does an iron work better though, and im just too impatient to wait 24 hours for my paint to dry?
