i made this drop-spindle from a dowel, a circular wood thingie (maybe a planter base? it only cost me about 75 cents), and a hook i found in our house's tool kit. i sanded it down a bit to make it smooth and it's been treating me good.

and this is the yarn i made! it's not thin, it's huge and thick. i have no clue what to make out it if, i might have to buy a copy of those rowan books yapping about big yarn. what have you made out of your super thick yarn?
i taught myself how to spin using the joy of handspinning and the spin-spin zine. my fiber came from the village spinning and weaving shop
