The nifty coat rack we put up.
Certainly beats one of those nasty jobbies with a hook.
Made using knobs from the hardware store, with the standard screw replaced with a double ended number, with a wood screw on the end going into the wall.
Measured, drilled holes for plastic wall anchors, screwed in, and voila!
It's right behind the front door, this way we can just hang our stuff up right when we get in and take off our shoes.....
and it's not an eyesore like most other wall coat hangers.

One of the new pillows modeled by the lovely Mr. Harl.
The front is a woven tapestry fabric, and the cording around the pillow and the back is made of a burgundy, green, and gold stripe. I had enough of either fabric to make the whole pillow out of just one type of fabric, but, where's the fun in that?

The new duvet and dust skirt....
This is the 'summer' side.

And this is the winter side.
Faux tortoise shell bottom button closure for added interest...plus I had a whole bag of em.
And the dustskirt is a fitted skirt, with box pleats at the front corners. Made of a heavyweight cotton canvas, which I tea dyed (surprisingly it didn't add much color...only wrinkles). You can't really see it in the photos, but the bottom hem and all the hems where the panels are joined have been zig zagged over with a slightly darker thread to give it slightly more interest.
I'm currently in love with the zig zag stitch...plus it just made it look cooler.
This is all....
