My iBook Cover
Nov. 21st, 2005 11:33 pmI made this iBook cover during the summer when I was saving up for a new laptop. I still don't have an iBook (I think I may be too poor for a new computer), but now I have an awesome sleeve for when I eventually get one . . .

I used my boyfriend's PowerBook to model the iBook sleeve.

I crocheted the fuzzy part out of Lion Brand Fun Fur yarn, and it turned out fairly well being that I mainly eyeballed it using the iBook measurements I pulled from the Apple website. The yarn by itself didn't offer the kind of scratch-and-general-dirt protection I had in mind, so for added strength, I bought some cheap Wal-Mart flannel and sewed a bright orange floral lining into it. You can tell the stitching was done by hand, but whatever. My iBook cosy is BITCHIN'. . . in a cutesy muppet sort of way.
