Nov. 22nd, 2005 01:26 pmI've been busy making things.. and baking yarn was part of it.
Okay first I made some beaded candy-cane tree ornaments

Then I've been wanting to get all creative and dye some Wool yarn with Kool Aid.. so I followed a simple procedure to wet it, pour concentrated kool aid color on it and Bake it for a half hour.. then let it cool and well..

`step 1

`step 3

`step 4

`Presto Kool yarn!

I skipped step 2, it was just the addition of color which was obvious in step 3.
This was my first attempt at dying wool yarn, it came out fairly well considering.
I got more Kool Aid and dyed some more :) The second bundle of dyed yarn is drying now, I think I'll crochet it into a throw blanket. And I'm still working on my other projects.. like 4 or 5 hollllydaaze gifts, oh wait make that ten.
