soap making
Nov. 25th, 2005 01:51 pmI just made a big batch of soaps with my Eiffel Tower, round/oval and sushi molds. I've even turned some of the soaps into ornaments for a cute, Christmas-y touch! For all of the soaps, I used a lime oil soap base and added iridescent sparkles and a little strawberry oil for a lime-strawberry scent. I wish you could smell these soaps. They smell wonderful!

Unfortunately while I was pouring the soap in, some spilled over the mold (because I'm always in a rush to get things done), but it's an easy clean up.

The Eiffel Tower soaps were set first so I popped one out for show.

After making sure it was nice and set, I strung a string through a needle and pierced through the soap to create an ornament.

For display: sushi soap ornaments and soap chopsticks.
I love the color and the scent. I'll definitely have to keep one for myself as most are being given away as small gifts.
