Jewelry and a lampwork pendant!
Nov. 29th, 2005 09:01 pmFirst off, thanks to everyone who posted in regards to the sanddollar issue. I'll be checking up on resin as soon as this quarter ends. (IF this quarter ends...rawr.)
That said, some new jewelry, including a pendant that represents my first dip into lampwork. I thought I'd take the hands-on approach of learning as opposed to taking a class or reading a book and just kind of dove in head first to see what happened. It's one of my favorite pendants now to wear.
BTW, sorry about quality of pics. I have an old digital camera and my photographer is too busy to deal with helping me out right now. :)

It was so much fun to make, but man am I ever bad at wirework. It took SO LONG to get just these links done! Silver wire and beads.

My brother got me a couple of strands of red jasper for Christmas last year and I was SO EXCITED! It's a stone I've never really given much thought to, and it took me awhile to come up with something to do with them. This is a red jasper and sterling silver choker (just the end), and as you'll notice, it's not done (there's no clasps or anything)...because I haven't found the "right" clasp for it. :)

This picture doesn't do it justice. My icon is a LITTLE better, but not much. Colors used was a flat turquoise, a clear turquoise, clear, and white. Just a silver ball on the bottom. But man, was it ever fun to make!
