Dec. 2nd, 2005 04:51 pmSo after my thousands of questions (okay, not thousands :P) I finally have some stuff to show off! A bit graphics heavy; look under the cut for the pictures. ^^ Explanations are under the picture.

These are some picture frames I'm making for my sister-in-law, Priscilla, for Christmas. I'm going to stick an IOU kind of thing in with them when I wrap them; I'm decorating one of them, but the other two she can either choose to leave plain or she can have me decorate them. I bought the unpainted frames at my work, Michael's, along with the moon & stars piece. I painted it, then glued the moon on with wood glue. Shay is my nephew's name, which I will be re-doing. :P

This is a necklace I'm making for Prissy's mom Wanda. It was originally just going to be a bracelet, but now I've decided to do a bracelet & necklace set - maybe even earrings. I bought the beads & wire at Walmart. I'm not sure what kind of clasp I'm going to use yet. This will be the necklace, but I need to go get some more beads to finish it and start the bracelet.

This is something else I made Prissy for Christmas. I bought the holders and candles at Hobby Lobby, along with the stickers. I used Armor Etch to get the heart shapes on there with the stickers. The candles are vanilla, her favorite scent. Each one has a different pattern of hearts on it.

I got this silk bamboo potted plant at World Market for $10. Some of the stones were missing, and most of them were broken off, so you could see the yucky styrofoam. Picked up some moss at Walmart, hot glued it down, and then hot glued the stones back on. ^^ It looks much better now.

This was a random picture frame I had. It was originally duo-tone - black & natural wood. I didn't like it much, so I painted it gold. :D I just stuck some random pictures in there for now, until I get some updated ones. (Yes, the girl in glasses is me. :P) I heart arcylic paint.

My very first scarf!! *^^* I started and finished this the weekend I bought my Knifty Knitter from work. I made a matching one for my nephew, it's just not as long. I was an idiot and wrapped it yesterday without getting any pictures. Oh well. Anyway, I'm not sure how long this is, and there are a few places I missed up at, and I wish I had made it thicker - but, oh well. ^^ Now I know for next time. :D

This lamp was very boring. It was white & black and I didn't like it much. But then I ran across Krylon Fusion - spray paint for plastic. :DD We carry it at work, but we didn't have any colors I liked. So I dragged some friends to Walmart and bought some Krylon Premium Original Chrome spray paint. It came out pretty good, although there are a few spots I want to sand down and re-do. Unfortunely, in the painting, that one light broke. ^^;; So I need to get a new bolt to hold it up. I highly recommend this paint if you want to do anything in chrome. It works on wood, metal, plastic, papier mache, glass, plaster, ceramic, paper and wicker (that's directly from the back of the can). It only cost me about $5, and I barely used half of the can.

I love this picture - it was taken here at home about a week after my nephew was born, and it's the first picture I have of me feeding him (or giving him water, I should say). Yes, I realize my clothes don't match - it was nine in the morning and I was half-way changed into day clothes when Adam (my brother) & Prissy showed up with Shay. :P Also, I didn't do this on purpose, but notice how close in color my shirt and the frame are. This frame was originally black, and didn't look very good. So I painted it with the only color available to me at 2:30 in the morning - blue arcylic paint. I love how it came out.

I bought this corkboard, unpainted, at work. I got the stencil and stencil brushes at Walmart, and the paint I got at Michael's when I bought the board. Painted a few coats of black on it, let it sit for a day, and then stenciled the kanji on. Starting at the upper left hand corner and going around in a circle clockwise, the kanji mean happiness, love, peace & energy. Can you tell yet that the main colors in my room are black, silver, gold & blue? :P
Let me know if any of the pictures are too big, or if you want different angles or bigger pictures or whatever. ^^ Also, does digital scrapbooking count as crafting? If so, I have a few I'd like to show off. ^^ I'll have more stuff to show off when I finish more Christmas presents.
