Alien Hat

Hi, I'm newish - to both the community and crafts in general. My best friend suggested that he and I make each other's Christmas gifts this year, which I thought was a fun idea. However, he then decided that I learn how to knit and make him a hat, scarf, and gloves. I told him that was out of the question but secretly went out and bought a Knifty Knitter. I suppose that is cheating, but what does he expect, eh?

Anyway, since I've enjoyed getting ideas from the posts here, I thought I would share my first Knifty creation. It's a very silly hat I made for my husband. It was supposed to be an alien, but my husband says it looks more like Cthulhu. He suggested I add some sort of teeth to the bottom of the brim so it looks more like it is eating his head, but I'm not sure how to do so without obstructing his eyesight. Suggestions welcome!
