Before-finals stress relief
Dec. 11th, 2005 10:44 pmI don't think I've ever posted anything I've made myself here... though I've commented lots and asked questions of the members. Guess there's a first time for everything. =) I've felt really, really crafty lately, so I channeled that energy into a bunch of fun little projects.
I apologize in advance for the rather crummy picture quality. I hope to get a better camera soon...

I made this collage with pictures of my boyfriend and I doing the things that we do: arguing philosophy, playing music, and doing art. I also included pages from my notebook that we passed back and forth during our philosophy course together, in which we argue philosophical points. -

This is a black leather dream catcher I made for a friend for their birthday. -

I forgot to get a close-up of the little tree. It's from P&C and cost a dollar, I think. I trimmed it up so that it is less unwieldy, and put a large star bead on top, then crocheted the garland out of red embroidery string. Last year I made one of these for a friend with ornaments of semi-precious stone beads. This year's model is plastic beads, but I'm having everyone who comes to visit me make an ornament. ^__^ -

I never find scarves that I like, so I decided to crochet my own. I really needed one, too... Tried crocheting it lengthwise, and with much success. I love it! It's like nine feet long. I've included a crummy picture of me in the nearest long mirror, just to give you an indication of the length - it goes down past my knees unwound! It can wrap loosely around my neck twice and the ends will still hang past my waist. It's about six inces wide. I love it!

Well... there you go! =) Hope you like them.
