Sorry this post is text only, but I wanted to share this. I found the instructions for a juice can card holder while looking for something to make to hold my holiday cards. This sounds pretty neat! Perhaps I'll make it over the weekend while finals aren't attacking my mind. ;)

Julie Hecht from Nevada explains how she displays her Christmas cards using a juice can covered with yarn!

Materials Needed:

1 Juice can
1 Skein of yarn (your choice of color)
1 Old card with a pretty picture on it
Glue
Instructions:
Step 1.
Have an adult cut off each end of the juice can using a can opener.

Step 2.
Take the beginning end of your yarn and pull it through one end of the can and out the other until you make a complete circle. Have an adult help you tie a knot in the inside of the can. To do this you take the end piece of yarn tying it to the circle of yarn that is in the inside of the can. Once the knot is made all you need to do is continue taking your yarn and pulling it through one end and out the other until you have completely covered the can. Then have an adult again tie off your yarn, making a knot on the inside of your can.

TIP: you want your yarn pieces to be tight but not too tight. This is where your cards are going to go.

Step 3.
Carefully cut out the picture of your card so it is big enough to cover one end of your can. Put a small circle of Elemer's glue around the back side of the picture and glue it to the can.

TIP: An old Christmas card or Mother's Day card works well because of the size of the picture on the cards.

Step 4.
Take a card and slip it through one piece of yarn so the yarn will be in the crease of the card, this is how the cards are held onto the can. This project can hold aproximentlly 25 cards. As you fill the card holder each card will fan out so you will be able to have a pretty decoration and still be able to display your cards.

Have fun making this! It makes a great gift too!
