So, this is the first actual picture-fied entry that I've made here.
My brother (12) and I got bored, and the Joannes near us had these on sale for $7, so we decided we'd try...the icing was a little too runny >.< But it was amusing anyways. Decorated with the candies that were in there (runts-ish things, gumdrops, and spree candy) along with licorice, pez, and dots.
It actually looks decent here....

The windows are a little dead...

But the BEST part...the other side.

Yeah, that gap? This is the wall...pulled out of the house >.<

Oh well. We tried.
Next...I live in Florida and last night it got all the way down to *gasp* 50-ish degrees out. So I finally got a chance to use these awesome fleecy wristwarmers. They're really easy to make...I just took a piece of fleece (I got this stuff on clearance a few weeks ago) and cut it to the length I wanted it to be and the right width, then sewed it up, leaving a hole for my thumb to go through. The fleece on the inside was folded over once, except for the thumbhole, so that bit of unfolded fleece made a 'finger' for my thumb, too. ((As a disclaimer...I actually made these to use in my AP European History class, because my teacher leaves her room as cold as possible...and the last thing that I want at 7 in the morning is to freeze.))

Finally, a record bowl. I made a bunch of these and gave them to my friends and filled them with a bunch of stuff...random dollar store stuff like playdough, candy, a jewel-case calender like the ones on Craftster, homemade lavender-pearberry bath salts, some home-made ornaments and cookies. Unfortunately, I gave it all away >.< This one is for my friend Mark...the record is Country Joe McDonald?? or something like that, apparently someone at Woodstock? Mark collects records and was apalled when he found out that I'd melted some...especially by this particular artist...so this is his present. Along with a stack of records from Woodstock that aren't melted, I'm not *that* mean.

And finally...cookies that we made as presents. These are just little-kid-ish decorated sugar cookies, we also made peanut butter fingers, choc. chip cookies, and gingersnaps.
