I've been had.
Dec. 22nd, 2005 06:24 pmOnce upon a time there was a very trusting girl. This girl, like many others had an addiction to cute bras sold at places like Frederick's and Victoria's. One day, she ambled on in to her nearest Victoria's and cic their free bra sizing: 34B! How exciting! She thought "What wonderful news! I think that is the largest I could *hope* for!" and she promptly spent $60 on two cute balconet bras, one in teal, and the other black. A YEAR later, she decided that these bras were not all that and went to another store for their free bra sizing. Her suspicions were confirmed. 34A. "Dammit! What should I do with these ultra cute, but non-functional bras? Now that I have a new one that fits wonderfully, I could never go back to my old bras, even if they *are oh-so-cute."
Anyways, I really want to resize my old bras so that they fit. I suppose, I should just put darts in the cups. Does anyone have any hints or tips on the best way to do this? I want to preserve the look of the bra without sacrificing my new-found "comfort". I left my sewing machine in Ohio, so I'm only hand sewing now, but I don't think that's a problem, since I have such teeny boobs anyways. And if anyone has any patterns for bras from scratch, those are most welcome. Thanks!
