Garter Belt Turorial
Dec. 23rd, 2005 12:23 pmA few people asked me to make a tutorial for the garter belt I made and yay here it is!

Materials you'll need:

Step one: Cut panties in half, try and cut as straight as possible and leave enough so you can hem the edges.
And if you want can even keep the scrap part and turn it into a thong.

Step two: hem the edges.

Step three: sew the lace on the inside of the panties. If your working with a more elastic fabric you want to stretch the fabric as you are sewing on the lace. As for measuring the lace you really don't need to, just make sure you have enough and once your at the end just cut off the rest of the unwanted lace.

Step four: Cut your scrap fabric into long rectangles, make them wide enough to fit onto the garters. I got my link garters off a corset I own but you can find them at your local fabric store.

Step five: Sew the edges together to make a loop. I find if you do this step it will be a lot easier because when you attach them to your panties they wont move. You don't have to sew it like crazy just enough to make it so it stays into a loop.(you'll secure it more when you sew it onto the panties.)

Step six: Mark were you want to place your loops with chalk pencil or with anything that will wash off. Once you got the marks set then you can sew them onto your garter belt. Attach your garters and YOUR DONE!
And your result will look similar to this:

ENJOY!
