FINALLY, I finished all of my handcrafted Christmas presents for the year--a festival of fleece, if you will.

This year, I decided that it'd be super fun to handcraft really personalized gifts for some of my good friends. My sewing machine, however, decided that it didn't like canvas, and that I would be sewing everything by hand. Aah. For the aprons below, I picked up canvas apron blanks at Michaels (in 'natural'). That's the only part of anything that I didn't sew/mess with myself. Please excuse the wonky pictures--I had some really great scans of the detail work, but my computer ate them, so you get these instead:

Apron that I made for my crafty pal, [livejournal.com profile] heatherglenn, who loves fire and the color orange (her roomie [livejournal.com profile] hussyred is the one who got my opera zombie doll):

Apron for my ex, who LOVES Bullwinkle...all of the little heads were individually stencilled, and outlined with fabric pen. The black 'stripes' are bias tape:

Aprons for two other friends of mine, one who likes the color green and one who digs mermaids (the colors on these are a lot better in person):

The edging is green and white gingham quilt trim. Really, I just wanted an excuse to put happy fleece food on something:

The midriff of this lady looked a bit plain, so I got delusionally ambitious and decided to take embroidery floss and stitch curlicues in to fill the 'skin' areas:

In an attempt to distract my 'assistant' from trying to eat the needles and lying on my scissors, I let her help with some of the pencil work:

My friend [livejournal.com profile] lhiannandesigns wanted me to make her a sewing box that she had the pattern for. She loves the colors red and blue, so I hot-glued every one of my fingers together and made this:

The picture from the top is terrible--this one of it open is a lot more representative of the actual colors. The whole deal is one piece that folds up into a nice, tight box:

Thanks for looking! Hope y'all have the great holiday of your choice. :)
