moleskine [text only]

I just bought the 8.25" x 5" sketchbook about a week ago and have yet to do anything with it. I happen to have textile ink and want to put something on the front cover, but I doubt my ink will stick to the cover it comes in. So. Using a somewhat stretchy fabric, I've decided to make a cover for my moleskine. My question is, how will I get it to stay on there? The fabric is a thin, 92% polyester, 8% spandex blend from a shirt I bought years ago and looks like . What do you think?
