I just got my first sewing machine (so I could stop borrowing my moms hehe) and this is what I made (and I need some help!):

What I need help with... I would love to make this bag but I'm not sure if there is a pattern somewhere or something. I really like the shape/size but I hate the image on the front so I want to make my own.
1. Where would I find leather type material for the trim?
2. Can you buy the grommet type things for the ribbon to go through at a craft store?
3. Do you think it's a waste of time & I should just spend the almost $200 on this thing?
