knifty scarves
Jan. 2nd, 2006 10:49 pmhas anybody found a way to un-curl scarves made with the knifty knitter?
i made a scarf using the smallest loom, and i used triple strands (of just plain acrylic wool) - which made it a lot stiffer than double stranded stuff, and so the curl is even more stubborn. i have tried wetting it and curling it in the opposite direction and leaving it a few days, which helped a bit, but didnt solve the problem entirely.

The scarf... as you can see, very curled...

Hat #1 - made for my boyfriend - it's real wool, double stranded.

Hat #2 - made for no one in particular - double stranded with fuzzy wool of some sort + acrylic

Hat #3 - obviously too small for me, the damned fancy fur did not stretch out far enough to make a full hat - almost, but not quite. but i love it anyway.

Hat #4 - definitely made for me - it's purple cha cha and acrylic. i love the purple and the fuzziness!

Hat #5 - also fancy fur, and also a wee bit too small (though for some reason, closer than the pink). i forgot to snip the end bit in this photo.
