This is the first skein from 5 lbs of Samoyed dog fiber sent to me by the local breed rescue. I'm spinning this fluff up to donate to the rescue to be knit and used for raffles and other fundraising. I'm really happy with this since I not only get to help a wonderful breed, but this fiber is my favorite to spin so any excuse to play with it is awesome for me!

This is a thick spun Samoyed plied with silver colored rayon thread with clear seed beads every yard or two. Different skeins will be different. I plan on doing some dying, and some of the yarns will be "serious" commercial type spinning rather than just my artsy-ish yarns. I set the beads so far apart as I didn't want them to be overdone, but wanted it to look "glittery". I think this will make an awesome shawl and I'll suggest it to the knitter, and offer to make a Samoyed sculpted button to add as an accent piece!

A close up to show some of the beads. I do love how pure white the Sammy fluff is so it has a "glitter" all on it's own w/o the help of the bead accents!
