i made this on a stretched canvas, with lace i had laying around, the last tablespoons of a bunch of blue paints (fingerpainted on the canvas), newspaper, and a small string of wired faux-pearls.

i decoupaged the newspaper and lace. the pearls were tough, i tried to glue them but that didn't work so i sewed them on with clear fishing wire. the news paper article is from a radical newspaper and is about a small uprising in a mexican farming community. i think that makes it a little more interesting.

mod rustic frame job:

i found this ugly goldish brown frame and had planned to paint it a different color, so i began to sand the paint off, and lo and behold, under the goldbrown was this rad green color, so i decided to leave it that way because i think it looks way rad. and obviously, i need one more photo. i thought it was kind of clever.

and my question:

i want to make a dress like this:
(from the rummage section of smarmy, unfortunatly it's sold already)
can anyone point me in a direction for a pattern or a tutorial?
i know it's proabbly suuuper easy, but i'm relatively unfamiliar with making clothes (well, i make skirts a lot, but not dresses or tops)
