Needles, meet Yarn.
Jan. 13th, 2006 11:09 pmThese aren't too spectacular, since I'm pretty much a novice knitter (after knitting for over a year, too...wow, I suck! :p), but, well...I wanted to post some pictures along with my knitting questions. Um. Or maybe a lot of pictures. There are about eight under the cut, so dialup users, take note and proceed with caution.

First time knitting with DPNs, and first hat...it's a bit big for me, but I like it!

What the colors actually look like when my camera isn't being stupid.

Fingerless gloves! Based on a pattern at ohmystars.net. They are SO EASY! I made them in like two days. It's great, man, instant gratification. XD

You know how hard it is to take a picture of both of your hands at once? Try it sometime. It's hard.
This is a kerchief made with the same self-striping yarn...yay, self-striping yarn rules. This is the Kitschy Kerchief pattern from Stitch and Bitch, by the way.

Did I mention I love this yarn?

What it looks like on.

Another kerchief...yeah, I made this pattern twice. I'd do it again, too! You can never have too many kerchiefs! They're good for covering up bad hair days. :p

...as demonstrated here. Heh. Bad, baaaad hair.
Now, two questions for all you knitters out there:
1. What's a good pattern to make with that recycled silk yarn? You know what kind of yarn I'm talking about...they sell it on thehungersite.com, and on Knitty, the Unbiased bag is made with it? I don't particularly want to make a bag, though...any other specific patterns that are good with this yarn?
and
2. What's a cool thing to do on the ends of a scarf other than fringe? I'm making a scarf in seed stitch, but the ends look...incomplete. And it's bugging me.
Thank y'all kindly in advance. ^_^
