Jan. 14th, 2006 01:43 amFwooosh! I decided to finally stop being lazy and post some of the Christmas presents I made for my family here.
Firstly, the book I made for my 6 year old sister:

It was my first book I've ever made. She seemed to really enjoy a little notebook I found in my room and gave to her, so I thought I'd give her something with blank pages to color in. Anyway, I made the star and moon out of clay. The front and back covers are from 5" x 7" canvas panels that I painted with acrylic paint and drilled. I glued rhinestones and the star and moon to the front cover. Pages are cut from blank index cards (they're thick so if she uses marker it won't bleed through too badly). Binding is 1" book rings. Perhaps someday I'll make more and learn how to do "real" binding. :P
Paintings:

For my dad.

For my grandparents on my father's side.

For my grandmother on my mother's side.
All acrylic paint on canvas.
Everything looks so much better in person, but eh, oh well :P I also made a dreamcatcher for my boyfriend, but forgot to take a picture of it before I gave it to him.
