first yarn dyeing experience!

so my friend and i just spontaneously decided to try dyeing yarn for the first time tonight! :D
it was lots of fun and we were both really happy with the way ours turned out. (we each dyed a skein.)
i plan on taking more pictures tomorrow when i can use natural light and the colours of the yarn will show better. buuuut. since i am so excited about the yarn and absolutely love it, i had to post with a couple of pictures! :) we mostly followed this yarn dyeing tutorial.





the colours in this picture aren't entirely accurate because it was taken without flash and then i used a lightening option in photoshop. but you get the idea of colour distribution and general colours used.


blurry but still showcasing the 3 main "colours" in it. i loooove the purple/grey. well i love all the colours. :D
