I'm a knitter and I'm trying to teach myself to crochet. (Funny how whatever you learned to do first makes the other seem next to impossible) I have the whole chain row down pat. I think I finally have single crochet down now.

I want to know what the heck kind of stitch(es) you have to do to get stripes like this with that whole double loop thing between colors:



Anyone? I'll heart you forever.

Bird bead I made out of glass. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with him now.
