Gift for brother and sister-in-law
Jan. 18th, 2006 11:50 amI made a post-bound photo album for my brother and sister-in-law. They were married in the Bahamas in 2003. This book details their wedding.

How it is constructed:
The end boards are "sandwiches" of daveyboard (book board), cardboard, and chipboard. This gave the covers a plump, soft feel. I covered the end boards with cotton quilting fabric I appliqued and embroidered with their names.

I used photo-quality double-sided inkjet paper for the text block. The pages are held in place with Chicago screws (screw posts). The screws are hidden by a flap. The flap is held in place by a high strength button magnet attracted to a steel shim. Both the flap and the post hinge are made of mat board.
