rhinestone on jeans for the craftistically disabled

Does anyone have any tips for adding sawrovski crystals or rhinestones to my jeans? I'd like to add a little something extra and a few rhinestones on the back pocket sounds like a good idea to me. My main concern is them falling off in the wash. What could I use to set and place the stones? Would fabric glue work? Suggestions would be awesome. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
