Wristlets!
Jan. 30th, 2006 09:46 amThis spring and summer I will be participating in a number of craft fairs.
I've been working hard to try and bulk up my inventory. (I still have a ways to go, God help me!)
So in addition to jewelry, I've decided to sell these little babies.

Oh so cute and oh so functional.
There are many times when I just need my wallet with me, but I absolutely need to be hands free. Hence I made it so I can have my money/debit card, metro card, license, tampons, lipstick, gum, whatever wee object I fancy, without fear of me placing it somewhere and leaving it there. I tend to be absentminded, especially when I shop. My solution, I keep it tethered to my wrist!
I bought a bunch of inexpensive whimsical fabrics from Joann's, as they are having a huge clearance. All fabrics were purchased at 80 cents a yard. So these were so cheap to make as far as materials go. I did spend a lot of time, collectively on the embroidery though. All wristlets have interfacing for strength and durability. The exteriors are black denim. I matched the cover felt/embroidery to the lining.
