Just two recent projects
Jan. 29th, 2006 11:58 pmI'm so hooked on knitting. Only been doing it for 2 or 3 months now but I can't stop! At first I learned to crochet, and it's fine for blankets and big things, but I just kept getting so aggravated with it so I learned how to knit. I think this is my thing now...I've got a long way to go but you have to start somewhere.
My current project is a feather and fan scarf. When I saw the pattern I fell in LOVE but thought it would be way too hard for me to do yet, but I was surprised to find out I could. This is my favorite yarn I've ever bought, my camera/lighting sucks but it's sooo pretty and bright in person. Anyway, onto the scarf!
(Sorry, I couldn't find anything to prop it on so I just used my messenger bag)

My boyfriend's grandma recently fainted and fell, cut her arm when she did and bummed up her leg. She had to go to the nursing home for rehab and they were treating her really bad, so I knitted her a kitty to help cheer her up! She ended up naming it after me, awww. :) (The pattern for it is here, BTW) So, here's kitty.

My mom has to have some surgery soon and by then I'll have a set of DPNs, I plan on trying the pixie hat from Knit Wit while I'm there. She thinks it's pretty funny looking so it'll make a nice get well soon present.
