sewing advice
Jan. 19th, 2003 04:47 pmI need advice from all you sewing divas. I'm looking into buying a sewing machine and I've never had one before so I'm not sure what I should be looking for. I don't think I'll be using it for anything more abitious than hemming things and making skirts and purses.
So, the cheapest one I found in the Sears catalogue was $219.99 and this is what the blurb about it says:
"Kenmore Sewing Machine with 8 built-in stitches and 26 stitch functions. Push-pull clutch system; vertical bobbin system. 4-step built in buttonholer. Twin-needle capability. Screw-type foot-fixing system. Lever-type drop-feed dog capability. Electronic foot control. Thread cutter. 5 mm stitch width and 4 mm stitch length."
Is this good?
It's all Greek to me.
