We should have seen it coming...
Feb. 3rd, 2006 04:19 pmI love all of the record earring holders, but they just do not work for me. Mostly they are too large,... and I would feel bad about using even a horrible record to make one. So I came up with this ~

I just used one cd for now, to hold my favorite earrings, but it would be easy to add on as many cds as you want. Here is an idea of what a string of them would look like ~

This was so easy to make! I traced the cd & made a template out of paper. I used a small hole punch to make the holes, and then marked the cd with a Sharpie through the holes in the paper. (I folded it in half to punch the holes to make sure everything lined up.) Then I drilled the holes & hung with silver ribbon.
Here is the template I used ~ the holes circled in red were used for hanging the cd, and to hang more cds along the bottom. You can arrange the holes however you want ~ if you have smaller earrings you can fit more pairs on each cd, but I have long dangly ones. And you can even try hanging your earrings on your paper template first to make sure everything fits well.
