purse and work station

I was feeling crafty this weekend so I made a purse for a friend. The flower on the front is also a pocket, and this is my first zipper. I also made some slippers, but put them in the box to mail to a different friend before I got around to taking any pictures.

Finally discovered that I might use the sewing machine if it weren't burried beneath my husbands papers in the den so I made myself a little work area in the bedroom. I wanted plenty of light and big open areas, what do you crafty ladies want in a work area?
