First of all, I ♥ this community.

Secondly, I'm a seamstress. I'm nuts about sewing all sorts of outragous things. :] Absolutely insane about it.



And the other day I was whining to a friend of mine about how I was itching to make something but had no clue what to do. And so he challenged me to create a Sgt Pepper's outfit (since I'm a huge Beatlemaniac and threaten to make the costumes every year.. but never do because I can never find anyone to be the rest of the band with me). Actually, it was more like "Just get off your ass and do it."

I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to these things. So I dragged out all my books and the album and combed through the internet and tried to figure out what kind of patches were on John and Paul's uniforms.

Now, I know Paul's is supposed to be a Canadian "OPP" badge.. But I know that everyone mistook it to say "OPD" (Officially Pronounced Dead.. A clue in the whole "Paul is Dead" thing ;D) So I just made mine say that as well. And with John's.. all I knew is that on his right sleeve he had a Royal Coat of Arms. I picked through lots of pictures of vintage British badges and hoped I came close to the one's on his left.

Anyway, I talk way too much. Here's a picture of my completed badges.



Um.. they're all hand embroidered.. and my fingers really hurt by now.
