Newbie here
Feb. 7th, 2006 01:28 pmHey everyone :) I just joined today, and wanted to drop a line to say how much I'm enjoying everyone's talent here ;)
Just so this isn't a post only, I've put some pictures under the cut of some necklaces I've made.

Sorry for the crappy scanner picture. It was in a hurry to get it online at the time. I was commisioned to make the necklaces by the man that makes the roses, he travels with the Renassance Fest. and will be selling them there. I have made quite a few other styles depending on the rose. It's hard to tell from this pic, but the rose is acutally a clear purple glass base, with an opaque light blue on the tips. I love this arrangement becuase it give me absolute artistic freedom.

I picked up the agate flower, and it sat in my drawer for months. I tried to make a few necklaces from it before this came about.

I got the pattern for that one out of a jewelry mag (can't remember which one). It was my first attempt at wire wrapping, and taught me some valuble lessions (like keeping tissues near by for when you puncture your finger) *wink*

This is my best seller. People love the celtic knot, and the fact that it goes with almost any style of dress. I've made it in red, blue, and purple.
Ok... that's enough sharing for one day :) There are more pics on my photobucket site... http://photobucket.com/albums/v202/cici_digipics/Jewelry/
Thanks for looking :)
