Jones Soda Display, help...
Feb. 8th, 2006 02:08 pmI have a ton of Jones Soda bottles filled with colored water that I'd like to display lit up in some way.
Jone's sales a light box (http://www.jonessodastore.com/shop/customer/product.php?productid=16175)but it costs way too much.
I have one of these: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10103&storeId=12&langId=-1&productId=52152 from Ikea. While buying more of those would be cheaper than the jone's light box it would still cost more than I'd like.
Here's my sodas hanging out on the ikea light:

This is what the light is actually for:
So how would someone go about making something like that with little money and no saw? I was thinking of just cutting holes in a cardboard box and filling the box with xmas lights...but the lights probably wouldn't be bright enough and the box wouldn't be sturdy enough. Any suggestions?
