crocheted hot pad
Feb. 10th, 2006 11:33 ami got bored last night and decided to play with some handdyed wool (oh the wonders of kool-aid). I made a three layered hotpad, then decorated it with white yarn embroidery.
i just folded it over itself twice and then crocheted round the edges to hold it shut. took about 50 minutes, the longest part of which was the embroidery. i tested it on a freash from the oven cassarole dish, and it worked fine, actually let loose a nice warm fruity smell.
