checkbook cover and glasses sleepingbag

today i turned a failed experiment in stenciling into a checkbook cover, and made a little padded case for my glasses.

so this was my second time stenciling - i printed my stencil out onto a sheet of mylar only to realize i guess you're not supposed to use mylar with inkjet printers? because it never really dried and ended up getting my fingers really black, but whatever, lesson learned. i used spray adhesive to stick the stencil onto a piece of vinyl, painted, peeled once i thought it was dry, only to realize it had bled ALOT. so, instead of scrapping it entirely, i sprayed some gold spray paint over it, and you can't even really tell that it had bled.

i also made a really simple padded case for my glasses, because i always need one but never have one on me.




it's a glasses sleeping bag!
