For Valentine's, since my boyfriend feels it is purely a female holiday (it's true- I love it) and boys don't get presents, I made my sig. o. a.... card! (I'm sure you didn't see that coming at all.) He's not of the emo persuation so I had to metal-fy it a little, but in the end I did whatever the hell I wanted.

I must say that I used only things I already had in my house, hence the packing tape and excessive use of staples. I kind of liked the staples b/c they have a hardware look to them but really, it's all I had.

 Front

Top front close-up: A quote from the Marquis De Sade, "Lust's passion will be served; it demands, it militates, it tyrranizes." It looks like ass b/c I stuck them on with OPI nail polish but he probably won't notice.

Front bottom; two pages from a love spell book and a cow heart I think. You can't see it in this pic but I sewed two cris-crossing ribbons to the front.

 Inside left

Inside left top: Okay, I got a little emo...

Inside left bottom: Quote says, "Tell me, was it what you thought?" This is in reference to our relationship- long story but he used to hate girls and relationships. See- he really is emo inside! The picture is really a nude, but when I put that quote next to it- well- it was pretty lewd and not what I was intending it to mean. So I covered up the T&A with a shreddy ribbon.

And there's nothing on the back, just brown paper. My first card that didn't have glitter or dried macaroni.
