[identity profile] bearscanfly.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
So after looking around the craftgrrl and _stencilry mems, I've still got a question. I'm in the middle of stenciling a shirt for my (now ex) boyfriend's Christmas present (I KNOW, I KNOW...shh!), and I'm using DecoArt So Soft fabric paint. I've used this stuff before on plenty of other t-shirts, and not really had any problems, but this bottle is apparently different. The paint is much thinner than I'd like for it to be, and I'd rather not do a bajillion coats just to cover the shirt color. Is there any way to (quickly) thicken up fabric paint? I have $2.31 to last me until my tax returns come, so buying another product isn't really an option. I'll mix white paint with it if I have to, but I'd like to maintain the same shade of paint if possible. I kind of want to stick the bottle in the fridge for a little while...haha is this a completely stupid idea??
