So my mom got these cookies for Christmas and she's enamored by how lovely they are. She's interested in sealing them with, what else, food shellac, to preserve them for future use as ornaments. Only, according to Google, there's no such thing as food shellac! The only thing it'll pull up is several websites about that scene in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation where Chevy Chase coats his snow saucer with cooking spray. :|

ANYWAY. So what is that we use to do that, anyway? Is it good old fashioned Minwax Polyurethane, or canvas sealant, or what? I feel at a total loss about this. Thanks in advance, ladies!
