they melted plastic army men to make a bowl! i never thought of that as an idea.. *melting toys* has a lot of potential.. i guess this could be done with doll pieces too.. with LOTS of ventilation, of course..

*EDIT* sorry i didn't realize this was in the memories....there were a few sections of that i hadn't completely browsed through yet. but someone is certainly trying to make a bunch of money off this idea! there are helpful tutorials below in the replies...and apparantly it's not as easy as it looks to get it perfect... thanks everyone for your helpful input!
