The requested pattern

This is the hat that I have now figured out the pattern for. I can't promise it's 100% perfect. it's pretty close tho, so if you try it out and have probs, feel free to ask. or if you notice where a problem is, let me know. This is my first attempt at a pattern, so don't be too harsh on me, please.

Here you go:

hook size: G or H (slightly smaller hat in G)
yarn: worsted weight, 100% wool, from knitpicks.com. feel free to use any brand, or any fiber of worsted weight.

Foundation:
ch 8, sl st to connect

Round 1:
ch 3, dc 22, sl st into 2nd st of ch 3

Round 2:
ch 3, crocheting in the spaces dc 1, ch 1, in the next sp dc 1, in next sp dc 1, ch 1, *dc 1, ch 1, dc 1, ch 1, dc 2, ch 1, *repeat until last open space. dc 1 and sl st into 2nd st of ch 3

Round 3:
ch 3, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc 2, *ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc 2, *repeat until 2 spaces are left. ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc next to starting post, sl st into 2nd st of ch 3.

Round 4:
ch 3, *dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc 2, ch 1, *repeat until 3 spaces are left. ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, sl st into 2nd st of ch 3.

Round 5:
ch 3, *dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc 2, ch 1, *repeat until 3 spaces left. dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, sl st into 2nd st of ch 3.

Round 6:
ch 3, *dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc 2, ch 1, *repeat until 3 spaces left. dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, sl st into 2nd st of ch 3.

Round 7-22 (or less if you want a shorter hat):
ch 3, *dc, ch 1, * repeat until all spaces are filled, sl st into 2nd st of ch 3.

Round 23:
ch 3, in first space (dc, ch 2, dc 2), in next space sc, in next space sc, *in next space (dc 2, ch 2, dc 2), in next space sc, in next space sc, *repeat until start of round. sl st into 2nd st of ch 3. weave in all ends.
