Rat show post
Mar. 27th, 2006 11:18 pmI was vending at a rat show held by the local club selling magnets, and sculpted and painted pins.

The show table

I used cork board, with cotton yarn, thumbtacks, and mini (scrap book) laundry clips to attach the baggies to the board.

The cookie sheet magnet display. I made these using the tutorial by
mslaynie, and her AWESOME help making the picture templates from my rat photos, and origional artwork.
And for those who want rat pics! I only showed 2 of my own kiddos this show, a girl named "EAGL Thank Lucky Star", and the boy "EAGL Emergency" (Bred by myself). Lucky didn't do very well (only a 3rd place) but Emmerse the siamese won reserve in his class out of ALL the baby rats, and won the "Peoples Choice Most Handsome" being voted by the crowd as the best looking/their favorite of all the rats entered!

Emmerse and one of his ribbons

Me looking horrid posing with my baby boy :)
I had lots of fun, and plan on vending at more shows, both dog and rats so this was a big learning experience for me. I enjoy ANY excuse to be around fellow rat people so had a total blast! *G*
