Mar. 30th, 2006 12:29 pmI've been making pillows for our couch! My husband and I bought some pretty floral fabric, and a pattern, and 16inch pillow forms to replace the ugly purple pillows that we had. They were falling apart anyway.
So, at first I thought it would be really easy to make these pillows, but it's taken me two days and I've made two so far! I threw away some fabric b/c I messed up at first. I think it was hard b/c I've never done welting before, but now, after making two okay-looking pillows, I think I'm getting the hang of it. (I only have two more to go for the other couch! and later on maybe I'll make some of the prettier pillows in the pattern)

I didn't make the red ones, we bought those to go with the ones I made.

close up of the welting...it looks okay, I think!
here is the pattern I used. Since they were just square pillows I had to measure it and cut them out without the paper pattern. The ones that used the paper pattern were like the really complicated ones (the long ones, the heart ones, the round ones, etc)
