To Bow or Not to Bow, That Is the Question
Apr. 3rd, 2006 05:15 pmOkay, so here's the deal guys. Basically, I just made the cutest dress ever. EVER! And I made it in under 24 hours (which counts 9 hours of sleep and a trip to the fabric store for a zipper and some other odds and ends). So basically it is completely DONE, *but* I'm wondering if I should attach the bow to the front (as the pattern calls for) or skip it? Let me know what you think...
These first two shots are with the bow pinned into place.

And here it is without the bow.

And just in case anybody was wondering what was on the fabric... it's 50s roller-waitresses!

I love it!
*Notes*
Pattern = McCall's #4826
I omitted the pockets.
I added the layer of tulle at the bottom.
I used double-wide bias tape folded in 1/2 for the trimming instead of making it as the pattern calls for... because why would I want to do that when I could buy bias tape?
I used 3 yards of fabric and it took me less than a day :)
