The perfect post of What Not To Do...
Apr. 9th, 2006 08:59 pmI was feeling crafty one night and I thought "oh! why don't I make these random shirts I don't like and don't wear into something?" So, with a little sewing kit (no sewing machine), I set to work...only to find out that I had no idea how to reconstruct a shirt (or sew, haha).
Back of the shirt: I drew in a little cow logo...

Front of the shirt: Painted "I need money for clothe$" with acrylic paint. Here I was turning the fact that the shirt looked like a reject kindergarten art project into something that might, hopefully, seem intentional. NOTICE THE MY SUPERIOR SEWING SKILLS! Oh, and the $ was my roommate's idea. I thought it looked bad after I did it. But hopefully it just adds to that...intentional touch, haha!

More...whatever: This is me wearing it. And...the little newspaper brooch, I made just to cover up a really, really bad mistake that you can't really see well in the previous picture...

The back again!: Isn't that just brilliant? Of course. The really black thing is a tank top I was wearing underneath. Err, you kind of have to wear something like that underneath this shirt...

Closeup of (my) right sleeve: Just look at that elegant stitching!

Closeup of (my) left sleeve: Symmetry's for losers.

And thus, the final product as a whole (as taken by my roommate and photoshopped by me):

Oh man, I'm so using a tutorial next time.
